The Return of "Frasier"?

With the "Friends" finale stealing all its thunder, "Frasier's" sign-off has been met mostly with blank stares and the query, "That show is still on the air?" But audience apathy has never been a deal-breaker in Hollywood, which might explain a report in Variety that claims Paramount met with several NBC suits last month to chat about spinning off the Kelsey Grammer franchise. The show would focus on "the next phase in Frasier's life" and wouldn't feature any of the show's current co-stars, bad news for all those Eddie the dog fans out there. According to the trade, Paramount denies the meeting took place and insists there's no new "Frasier" series planned, but several insiders claim the sit-down happened and say NBC took a pass. It's still uncertain whether Grammer, who's portrayed fussbudget psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane for two decades (first as a barfly on "Cheers"), has any interest in continuing with the character, especially since he's reportedly eager to return to his "Down Periscope" big screen roots.

Naomi and Heath: The Breakup, Part 2?

Are Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts kaput -- again? The Star claims the Aussie pair's May-September romance is history and quotes the Oscar-nominated "21 Grams" actress, 35, as telling a friend they have "definitely, officially split up. The relationship is over." The magazine also alleges Ledger, 25, was caught "heavily making out" with Winona Ryder at a Los Angeles party on April 24, a charge her rep denies to the New York Daily News: "Winona wasn't even in L.A. that weekend." So far, Heath and Naomi's reps are keeping mum on the breakup reports, though Watts did attend the Costume Institute bash in New York solo last week. The blond duo began dating in 2002 but broke up briefly last fall, blaming demanding work schedules. They quickly reconciled and in recent months have been spied house-hunting in both Sydney and Malibu.

Lennon-Jagger Hook-Up

Sean Lennon's fickle affections have turned to a fellow rock and roll scion. The 28-year-old son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who has most recently been romantically linked to actresses Bijou Phillips and Leelee Sobieski, is now spending quality time with Elizabeth Jagger, the 20-year-old model-daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. "They are so in love," Hall tells the London Telegraph. "We had all these incredible family sing-songs with him around the piano. He's adorable. He looks so like John now and he writes beautiful poetry." Jerry says during one of Sean's recent visits, he played his dad's "Imagine," one of her favorite songs. But for those dreaming of a Beatles-Rolling Stones union, don't expect immediate satisfaction: the iconic offspring have only been dating for a couple months.

Christina: Strain or Sluggish Sales?

Was it strained vocal cords or lousy ticket sales that doomed Christina Aguilera's planned 28-city tour with Chingy? The New York Post claims the real reason the pint-sized "Beautiful" belter bolted on the tour, which was set to kick off May 13 in Washington, was too many unsold seats. "People strain their vocal cords all the time," an insider tells the paper. "There are treatments they give, and people usually take a week or two off, but never have they canceled a three-month tour." The source claims the shows "were only selling at 40 to 60 percent capacity" and adds that Christina "needs a hit album to reboost her fan base." No way, Christina's rep tells the Post, insisting the report of slow sales is "not true."

Scarlett's LV Love

Scarlett Johansson continues to exploit her newfound fame. The "Lost in Translation" ingénue, 19, who recently inked a deal to be the new face of Calvin Klein fragrance, has also agreed to shill for Louis Vuitton, reports the New York Post. The fresh-faced Scarlett will reportedly be featured in the logo-happy company's fall ad campaign, taking over modeling duties from Jennifer Lopez. According to the London Sun, the starlet landed the well-paying modeling gig over such big names as Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Monica Bellucci, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Love arrested on drug charge
Actress/singer found trying to break into a L.A. home. Courtney Love, 39, was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of a narcotic after police responded to a burglary call. LOVE was found early Thursday outside a Los Angeles home where she had allegedly broken the windows in an attempt to enter, police spokesman Don Cox said. She was arrested and booked for investigation of using illegal drugs, posted $2,500 bail and was released. Hours later, police and paramedics in Beverly Hills responded to an emergency call and took a woman to a hospital for treatment, according to a story in Friday’s editions of the Los Angeles Times. Law enforcement sources told the newspaper that the woman was Love and that she had overdosed. It was not immediately known what her condition was.

Demi the Distraction?
Uh-oh -- it looks like Demi Moore is beginning to get on people's nerves. Reports are surfacing that the comeback star is making her intense Scorpionic presence felt on Ashton Kutcher's "That '70s Show." And folks who work on the set are getting a little tired of it.The 40-year-old star has reportedly increased her trips to Ashton's workplace, much to the chagrin of his co-workers. One unimpressed member of the TV crew told Britain's Heat magazine, "Demi has this overwhelming presence. She's been on the set for almost every minute that Ashton is filming. The actresses and female crew members are getting self-conscious and are afraid that one false move and Demi will think they're after her man. It's causing a lot of tension." But love is grand, right? How bad can it be having the Dem-miester in the same room? According to this crew member, it's really bad. "It's hard to be yourself when glaring eyes are watching every move you make," they said. "Demi's demanding behavior is highly distracting."

Britney Plays Daisy Duke?
Britney Spears may star in movie version of 'Dukes of Hazzard' From "Crossroads" to dirt roads, Britney Spears could very well be the next Daisy Duke. The 21-year-old recording artist and actress has been mentioned as one possibility to play the short-shorts-wearing character in "The Dukes of Hazzard," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Trouble with Julia?
Diva Roberts seems to be rubbing co-workers the wrong way. It started way back in 1994 while filming "I Love Trouble" with Nick Nolte. However, recently, rumors of a hot-tempered and even jealous Julia have also made the rounds. Not long ago, Roberts reportedly flew into a rage when she caught wind of her hubby Danny Moder's flirty ways with Kirsten Dunst. And there were also reports that Roberts kicked Moder out of the house they shared before they walked down the altar. Jeff Garlin, who co-stars with Roberts in the film "Full Frontal," has also felt her sting. He told British magazine Closer, "I said to her, 'It's an honor to work with you' and she couldn't have been more dismissive. She talked to everyone in the room but me. I went home and my wife asked me how it went, and I said, 'I don't think Julia Roberts likes me.'" Well, at least you have good company, Jeff.
