Kate Hudson slim again

Kate Hudson, who gave birth to son Ryder in January, proudly showed off her newly super-slim figure at the New York premiere of "Raising Helen" on Saturday. "I had everything after the baby -- booty, three chins, the whole kit and caboodle," she tells Entertainment Tonight. "I really enjoyed being pregnant and I really enjoyed getting big and I actually enjoyed, after the baby, being big." Kate says the best part about packing on the pounds is she "can relate to how difficult it is to lose weight now. I really worked hard at it. I worked out two-three hours a day, every day."

Chris Martin defends Gwyneth

The notoriously paparazzi-averse Coldplay frontman is once again accused of resorting to violence when confronted by a snapper. The latest incident allegedly occurred Wednesday night as Martin and his expectant wife Gwyneth Paltrow, her face covered by a large scarf, exited a London restaurant. He kicked me from behind and I crashed to the ground," photographer Alessandro Copetti tells the London Sun. "It was stupid, dangerous, and violent. He seems to think it is OK for him to be violent to photographers because he is a celebrity." The paparazzo filed a formal complaint with police, who confirmed they are investigating the apparent assault. "The allegation was made about an attack in the area," a spokesman tells BBC News. But a spokesman for Coldplay denies Copetti's version of events, claiming the photog tripped as he was running after the Oscar-winning actress's cab. The mouthpiece insists to the BBC that Copetti "became very aggressive in trying to picture them together. Naturally enough for a man whose wife is heavily pregnant with her first child, Chris' sole concern was to ensure that Gwyneth got into the cab safely and was not impeded or harassed in any way."

Stork Report

In news that is sure to frighten any woman of childbearing age, "Hercules" muscleman Kevin Sorbo and his wife, Sam, welcomed a (gulp) 12-lb., 6-oz. baby boy on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, reports People. The tremendous tyke, who doesn't yet have a moniker (we're guessing "Tiny" is out), is the couple's second child (son Braeden is 2).

Jon Bon Jovi now has enough children to form a new band. The New Jersey rocker and his wife, Dorothea, became the proud parents of their fourth child, Romeo Jon, on Monday, March 29, 2004. The bundle of joy, who weighed in at 9-lbs., 7-oz., joins siblings Stephanie Rose, 10, Jesse James, 9, and Jacob, who turns 2 in May. "All are healthy and everyone is ecstatic," reads a message on Bon Jovi's website.

Jon Stewart will soon find the funny in fatherhood. The "Daily Show" host and his wife, Tracey, are expecting their first child, says the New York Daily News. Stewart recently reupped with Comedy Central to stay at his "Daily Show" anchor desk through the end of 2008.

Harrison Ford's Divorce Is Final

Harrison Ford is officially unhitched. The actor's divorce from his wife of 18 years, screenwriter Melissa Mathison Ford, became final this week. Papers filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court did not detail the divorce settlement or custody arrangement for the couple's teenage son and daughter. Television news magazines "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extra" both reported the filing Wednesday.

The Fords, who met on the set of the 1979 film "Apocalypse Now," filed for a separation in August 2001 after living apart for nearly a year. They cited irreconcilable differences.Despite his legal status, the mega-movie star is hardly a bachelor, having had a nearly two-year relationship with actress Calista Flockhart.

irwin baby stunt No Charges in Crocodile-Infant Stunt

"Crocodile hunter" Steve Irwin has survived tussles with giant pythons, poisonous snakes and, of course, crocodiles. Now he faces accusations that he went too far and endangered his infant son. Irwin drew fire from child welfare groups, but the acting premier of Queensland state, Terry Mackenroth, said no charges would be filed for a stunt in which Irwin fed a crocodile with one hand while cradling his month-old son, Robert, in the other on Friday in front of an audience.

"There won't be any charges brought against him; the department of children's services have done what they needed to do, to contact the family and to talk to them about it," Mackenroth said."They've (the Irwin family) assured them that it won't happen again and I am sure that if it does they will be back in touch with them," he said.

The incident at Irwin's popular reptile park in Beerwah, north of Brisbane, was captured on Australian television, and viewers later jammed phone lines to express their outrage."I think he's a bloody idiot, he's addicted to the attention," crocodile farm owner Keith Cook told The Courier-Mail newspaper.

At a news conference Saturday, Irwin said he probably would have done things differently with his son."If I could have my time again I would probably do things a little differently," he said. "But I would be considered a bad parent if I did not teach my children crocodile savvy because they live here. They live in crocodile territory ... so they have to be croc savvy." He also claimed the danger posed by the crocodile was exaggerated.

Katie & Chris Engaged

Somewhere, Pacey and Dawson are weeping like little girls. "Dawson's Creek" cutie pie Katie Holmes, 25, is set to say "I do" with "American Pie" eye candy Chris Klein, 24, her boyfriend of four years.

The couple's reps confirmed the engagement soon after the New York Post spied the actress wearing a doorknob-sized diamond ring on her finger during a Christmas trip home to Toledo, Ohio. The genetically blessed lovebirds aren't saying when or where they're going to do their knot-tying.

According to the London Mirror, Klein went the traditional route and asked Katie's dad for permission to propose to his little girl. "It was so romantic," a source tells the paper. "Katie had tears in her eyes and she said yes immediately." Holmes, who is in talks for a role in the new "Batman," next hits screens in "First Daughter," while Klein's drama, "The United States of Leland," bows in April.

Justin & Cameron: Snow Affectionate

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are still going hot and heavy, even in cold temperatures. The A-list couple engaged in a few public displays of affection (and a snowball fight) between snowboarding runs this week in Vail.

"When they were waiting in line for the lifts, they were all over each other," an eyewitness tells the London Mirror. "They looked as if they were having a great time." Adds a gawker to the London Sun, "They really looked madly in love and were oblivious to anyone else. The Mirror is speculating on the pretty pair's future after the former 'N Sync-er gushed to them, "Cameron and I are at a special point in our relationship. But it is not something I want to tell the whole world about. We want to keep some part of our lives to ourselves."

Luckily, Justin's blunt-talking grandma has no problem sharing. Back in November, she weighed in on the couple's long-term prospects, telling the Sun, "I don't think [Cameron] is ready for marriage. She isn't that mature. Justin isn't thinking about her in that way. When I saw them, they didn't seem that much in love. The two of them just didn't seem to connect."

Zellweger Gains Weight for Sequel
Renee Zellweger says putting on weight for her role in the new "Bridget Jones" film has been a piece of cake -- but no doughnuts. "It's really just math. I've been eating lots of really fattening food. I read that I'd been eating doughnuts, but they're not really my thing," Zellweger said as she braved a rainy London evening Wednesday to attend the premiere of "Down With Love," also starring Ewan McGregor.

Keanu Reeves - Leaving the Biz?
Concerned friends are worried that Keanu Reeves may give up show business in order to cope with one of the toughest times of his life. Sky News is reporting that the "Matrix" star has become depressed ever since he got word that his sister Kim has yet to win her fight against cancer. Reeves thought that she had actually conquered leukemia after responding well to treatment at a Hollywood mansion he converted into a hospital for her. But a pal tells the Sunday Express that despite taking her to the world's best specialists, "The diagnosis that it is back has really hit him hard... It's yet another tragedy in his life and it seems to have pushed him to the edge." "She's the most important thing to me," Keanu told reporters last year. "She was always there for me. I'll always be here for her." But Reeves, who dined alone on his 39th birthday after turning down six models who offered to help him celebrate, now has friends worried that he might soon become a recluse. One studio insider said: "During shooting breaks, unless he has to rehearse or talk to the director, he'll sit alone, often just staring at the ground." Here's wishing both Kim and Keanu the very best during these tough times

Sharon Stone: TV Star? Actress Sharon Stone will appear on three episodes of the ABC legal drama "The Practice" this fall. Series creator David E. Kelley wouldn't discuss the character the 45-year-old actress will play. "That will be a part of our plot development that we'll want to keep for a surprise for the audience," Kelley told the Television Critics Association. But Kelley said there's a possibility she'll stick around for more.

Zeta-Jones Pics: The Sequel Lawyers for Douglas & Zeta-Jones back in court for damages Lawyers for Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband Michael Douglas returned to the High Court in London for the second round of the couple's damages claim against a celebrity magazine they say breached their commercial and personal rights by publishing paparazzi photos of their wedding. Justice John Lindsay, who ruled in April that Hello! magazine breached their commercial confidence by printing pictures of their $2 million wedding at New York's Plaza Hotel in November 2000, must now decide the level of damages to award the couple. The judge's ruling did not extend to a breach of their right to privacy, which he said was not protected under British law.

Cameron Diaz Blocks Photos Actress Cameron Diaz seeks injunction barring release of photos Cameron Diaz is seeking an injunction barring the release of photographs taken at a private modeling session over a decade ago, before she was a star. In the lawsuit, the 30-year-old "Charlie's Angels" star claims she didn't sign a photo release and that a release produced by the photographer is a forgery, her publicist, Brad Cafarelli, said Tuesday. He wouldn't describe the nature of the pictures.Photographer John Rutter told the syndicated news program "Inside Edition" he had contacted Diaz's lawyers to offer them the photos before he sold them to any media outlets."This was a negotiation for a right of first refusal with Cameron Diaz's lawyers," Rutter said in a statement to "Inside Edition." "A few hours after her lawyers offered to buy the photos my place was raided." There were few details available as to the contents of the photographs, but Rutter described them as "beautiful," "Inside Edition" reported. Rutter said he took the photographs well before Diaz's big break in the 1994 film "The Mask."
